“Yes, We Exist!”

“Yes, We Exist!” is where the story of SheTO (formerly divhersity) began.

A few years ago Nidhi was invited to a small networking event for VPEs and CTOs. Subconsciously, she expected for this event to be all men. When she arrived there, to her utter shock, she was surrounded by a room full of women! “Yes, We Exist!!” Despite having been an engineering executive in the valley for over 15 years, she did not know so many other women engineering executives existed. She knew something must be done to connect these women to accomplish something great.

For Heather, the idea of SheTO had been gestating for years. As a recruiter who specializes in VPs of Engineering, Heather was acutely aware of the lack of women and non-binary leaders in this field. Despite the demand, she saw clearly how women needed access to opportunities and knew that more needed to be done to connect women to top engineering roles.

In May of 2019, Heather and Nidhi met over lunch. As they munched over salads, the perfect partnership, and SheTO, were born!

Nidhi is the CEO and Co-Founder of SheTO. She is an engineering and product executive who has built, scaled, and transformed companies. She has extensive expertise in strategy, R&D, business development, and operations. She has led various Marketplaces, and SaaS businesses. As an Engineering and Product leader she is passionate about building and growing thriving operational organizations that deliver world-class products at scale.

Nidhi is committed to addressing the vast gender gap in engineering and spends all her time furthering this cause.

Prior to founding divhersity, Nidhi was the Chief Product Officer at Hired, Upwork and Ning.

Heather has over 15 years of engineering executive search experience. She is a trusted expert in recruiting VP and CTO leaders for companies ranging from early-stage startups to large public companies. Our Mission

SheTO was founded with the aspiration of closing the immense gender gap in engineering executive roles. Less than 9% of engineering executive roles are held by women. We are on a mission to change that. Our hope is that as more women and non-binary engineering leaders grow and thrive in their careers, they in turn inspire the next generation of women to enter the industry, stay in the industry, and over time, aspire for these higher roles.

We are working on achieving our mission by connecting, elevating and inspiring future leaders!

CONNECT. We are bringing all resources we possibly can to our members. These resources include helping build their connections with each other and with the movers and shakers in the industry. We are building this high powered network for our members so that they have anyone they need, at any point in their leadership journey, at their finger tips.

ELEVATE. We are focused on accelerating careers of our members via events, peer support groups, trainings, workshops and our mentorship program. These programs are led by members of the community and our allies. Our goal is to impart learning based on real world experiences, so that our members can grow as fast as they possibly can!
